Last Sunday I spent a few hours poolside with my old friend and business partner at GRT Corp, Viktor Litvinov, a guru in information and data management. We chatted about the latest accomplishments in his field, about the latest buzzwords, like Big Data, Data Curating and at one point our conversation took a different turn…

Where is the data world going with its ever-increasing amount of data? How will businesses cope with this enormous demand? Do we need this amount of data? Why? Is there a limit of what we can absorb and comprehend? All of these questions and many more of this nature were popping up like hot cakes.

We are living  in a new profoundly different world. This new reality washes us with new demands of increasingly detailed data (See my other posting about the future of evolution). The whole army of Data Analysts and Semantic Engineers across the globe is working around the clock trying to come up with the new, more complicated tools that can provide us with meaningful information, yet it seems like they are always too late as we are generating more and more data every second.

No one knows exactly why we are doing this, it looks like there is a program embedded in us that pushes us, more, more and more. The human brain seems to reach its potential in comprehending and making something useful of such granulized data. We look like a fat running hamster on a running wheel…

So, what’s next in store for us? The logical outcome would be a leap to a brand new degree of perceiving information. This new degree could be called something like Integral Vision where we’ll be perceiving events or objects as whole without breaking them apart. It’s like acquiring a new sense that would immensely widen and deepen the world we perceive.

I am positive that we are at the doorstep of something truly amazing! We are ready for it – we just need to learn from Nature where everything is integrated into One and therefore is in perfection and harmony!
